The ATS-ERS standards require that a validation of accuracy using a known volume needs to be performed periodically using an Isothermal Bottle. This QC should be performed at least monthly or whenever plethysmographic errors are suspected. MGC Diagnostics has released their Isothermal Bottle for body plethysmograph QC.
